The club 2 handers all suffered some damage during the 2 hander racing. The 2 Enterprises are now sailable, although we are missing one set of battens. A make do second set has been cobbled together. The Vision suffered sail damage which is under repair and may be ready for Sunday next. If you sail the Ents please check them carefully before sailing.

I picked up a pair of sailing gloves, almost identical to my own, at the club on Sunday (4th July). They are good ones. Let me know if they are yours. I'll bring them down next Sunday.

Wardle Weekend : 16/6/2010
I think that we can safely say that we hosted a very good weekend; visitors from Tewkesbury, Arden and Severn Sailing clubs attended, and each race was fiercely competed for.
10 different classes of boat, with between 16 and 21 boats meant really busy and complicated start lines.
ASC managed to win the Ladies' (Clare Adams) and Junior (Hannah Huntley) trophies. Anthony Lynall came a very very close second for the single-handed trophy.
Many, many thanks to all those who supported the event.
We were very lucky with the weather, and the wind improved thoughout the weekend.

Training Day 24th April : 26/4/2010
After a worrying lack of wind early in the day, things picked up and all the trainees had an excellent day's sailing in the sun.

I still haven't learned how to win, that must be in the next lesson. But I am getting better at losing.

Floods : 27/1/2010
Visited the club today by river bank to read the elec meter. Lane and fields are flooded but the flood does not seem to have reached club grounds. River is well down and sluice open so access probably OK in a day or so. Whole club looked in good order - nothing dead in the kitchen, nothing moved in the boat park. Training hull has tried to escape but sadly did not succeed.
